Locate and wayfind to the Scout buoy with this page

The locate page provides detailed health and location information and should be the first place you look to see what your Scout is doing. In order for the locate to function properly, you'll need to allow the app to access your location and orientation, this will be a pop-up window.

Scout location and metadata

  1. The name of the buoy you are tracking

  2. The battery level of the buoy in Volts: 4.3 = Full, 2.6 = Empty

  3. The amount of time since Scout's last message (HH:MM:SS)

  4. The latitude and longitude (in Degrees Decimal Minutes) of the buoy

  5. The distance to the buoy in miles, the true bearing (bearing off North) to the buoy

  6. A dynamic arrow that points in the direction of the buoy

  7. Warning messages (e.g more than 3 hours since transmission, app not granted access to location or orientation)
